What is Tensegrity Massage?

Posted Feb 11, 2015

Tensegrity Massage address clients issues by balancing the opposing tensions of the soft tissue through hands on therapy, combined with the clients movement.

Tensegrity is a state of balance achived by elastic structures (muscle, tendon, ligament and fascia) working on static structures ( bone).

If there is balanced tension through out the system (body) then the system works smoothly.  If one of the opposing elastic structures become out of balance then client feels discomfort and if it continues long enough it becomes pain.  This imbalance can also result in injury.

Restoring the balance within the system and reestablishing the mobility of the soft tissue will reduce the chance of further injury and decreases pain.
